The power of God guided us
God's might upheld us
The eye of God looked over us
The ear of God listened to us
The word of God spoke to us
The hand of God defended us
The shield of God protected us
From the snares of demons, from the seduction of the vice, from the wicked desires of our nature, from man or woman, boy or girl who plotted against us, near or afar, alone or with others.
Christ be with us, Christ be before us
Christ be after us, Christ be within us
Christ be beneath us, Christ be above us
Christ be at our right hand and left hand
Christ be in the fort and the chariot
Christ be in our heart as we lay to sleep
For all of this and more we pray, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
